Casa Falcioni Olive Oil Deemed 3rd Best in the Region!
by Vicky - Spirit of Italy Tours on December 19th, 2010

The oil was selected by three panelists from the Official Extra Virgin Olive Oil Tasters who blind tasted more than 22 olive oils from the area of Arrezzo at a local festival. The oils are judged on the balance in fruitiness and spiciness after making sure there are absolutely no defects found in the olive oil. This means the olive oil is perfect in all aspects of freshness, acidity and quality.
The centerpiece of the Harvest Italia 2011 tour (Nov. 1 ā 8, 2011) will be picking olives at Casa Falcioni, one of the most breathtakingly beautiful Tuscan countryside properties that is home to a grove of 600 olive trees. Guests will have the chance to take their self-picked olives to the local olive press and see them turned into oil. Following, the Falcioni's will bottle it for you as a gift for you to take home. I have had the pleasure of tasting the Falcioni's olive oil for the past four years and it is always so delicious.
